Important Information on Complaint Management (EN)
Please read the information below carefully in order to decide which reporting form and which point of contact within the WEIG Group you should choose:
German Whistleblower Protection Act (Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz – “HinSchG”)
The German Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) protects individuals who, in a professional context, become aware of and report misconduct, legal violations, or wrongdoing.
The purpose of the Act is to protect whistleblowers from disadvantages, retaliation, or sanctions and, in doing so, to encourage the disclosure of violations of law. This is intended to strengthen a transparent and lawful corporate culture and to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Please note expressly that protection applies only to whistleblowers who act in good faith and believe the reported information to be true. Knowingly false or malicious reports will not be tolerated and will be reported to the competent authorities.
A digital whistleblowing system enables employees and external parties to report concerns securely and conveniently—anonymously upon request. The internal reporting office receives incoming reports and processes them in accordance with the WEIG Group Whistleblowing Policy as well as internal procedural instructions. All reports are treated confidentially, statutory deadlines are observed, and whistleblowers are protected from potential retaliation. This ensures a structured and legally compliant handling of reports. Please be aware that you should remain available for follow-up questions from the reporting office, in particular via the “anonymous chat mailbox” for further communication.
German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz – “LkSG”)
Reports under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) are intended to draw attention to human rights and environmental risks or violations within the supply chain. The aim is to ensure compliance with due diligence obligations throughout the entire supply chain and thereby protect human rights and environmental standards.
