Fully coated, with excellent white top layer and reverse side suitable for demanding product packaging
IBIS (GT2) is also available as a special FOOD+ quality. FOOD+ is a barrier that protects food from mineral oil migration. This makes IBIS suitable for the direct packaging of certain dry and non-greasy foods, even without FOOD+. The white reverse side makes IBIS (GT2) suitable for demanding product packaging.
Its characteristic features include:
- Uniform light gray reverse side for high-quality packaging
- Brilliant print image
- Optimum further processing properties
- For the fastest running properties
- FOOD+ variant protects against mineral oil migration onto foodstuffs
- Approval according to the 36th recommendation of the BfR, among others
- Specified whiteness of the reverse side 78.5%
- IBIS basis weight range: from 250 - 500 gsm
These features make it the preferred material for blister cards and banderoles with reverse side printing as well as applications in the beauty and hygiene sector.
